FAQs

- What are mushroom spores? -

Unlike plants that grow from seeds, most mushrooms reproduce by spreading spores that develop into new fungal growth from which new mushrooms will grow. Each type of fungi has a different spore type and releases them in unique patterns.

- What is a spore syringe? -

Spore syringe is a commonly used medium that consists of a mixture of distilled or sterile water and mushroom spores ready to use for storage or inoculation. One syringe contains up to millions of quality mushroom spores.

- Why I can't add item in my cart? -

Thank you for your patience and wanting to get the product. When you encounter this problem it means that  the item that you are trying to order is out of stock at the tome you are placing the order. We update our menu on Saturdays and in some occasions on Wednesday too. 

- I placed an order. What's next? -

After placing your order online. You will receive a confirmation email stating that your order online was received. You will receive another email containing link to your package.

- What if I encounter a problem after placing my order? -

It is unlikely that you will have a problem placing your order online. If so, please feel free to send us an email to info@highdesertspores.com with your name, order number, and phone number. 

- How can I store a spores syringe? -

We suggest using the spores within a week or two after receiving it. Placing it in the fridge is the suggested method for short or long-term storage. DO NOT FREEZE IT! Placing it in a cool and dark place will work too.

- How can I store a substrates? -

If you are not going to use it the best practice is placing it in the freezer. It will be good for months. 

 

- Where is my package? -

You will receive a tracking number in a separate email. If for instance your package was stolen or lost. There will be a claim process that will take 7-14 business days to complete. To avoid this problem PLEASE PROVIDE US A REAL ADDRESS AND KEEP EYE ON YOUR PACKAGE ARRIVAL.

- How to return the damaged package? -

If your mushroom spores or culture products are damaged during shipping, you must text a photo of the damaged product within 7 days of delivery. Make sure the picture is clear to see any damage such as cracks in the syringes. It will be processed by our Fraud Protection Department.
